“I have no interest in painting what already exists. I want to paint from imagination and invite the viewer into that space with me. Get lost in the work. Resist the urge to explain it. Let yourself respond to it first. The questions that are meant to arise will. The feelings that emerge should be felt, celebrated, and explored. My work isn’t meant to be understood. It’s meant to give you permission to step outside of reality for a moment and experience something of your own.”
